Matilda Joon is a lover of words and language. She is also an
avid diary writer, a wild child, teenage
runaway, actress, and artist. Matilda created art and
chaos while having a rock club in a basement where all the cool
bands came to play in the 90's. The rock club led to a Swedish
television show called Chaos TV.
Matilda also has done performance art, and spoken word sourced
from her backlog of journals. The Swedish audience were split
between those who loved it and those who hated it. Last year,
born out of frustration and boredom Matilda started a new spoken
word project called JOON BABY JOON with music added from
both Aron Aronsson guitarist in the
legendary Swedish cult band The Leather Nun and the American poet and
musician Ian Ottaway.
